The Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring that the Local Area network, Wide Area networks, Voice & Data Communications, and related services within the Firm's offices meet business requirements. This position is also responsible for managing the planning, coordination, configuration, installation, and management of the networks. Has key responsibility for the identification and resolution of network hardware and software technical problems and malfunctions. Proactively researches and locates necessary tools and processes to identify and proactively avert troublesome trends as they develop. Participates in various IS projects intended to continually improve/upgrade the data and voice infrastructure. Assists the IS Director in the areas of throughput analysis, problem solving, and infrastructure planning with the potential to affect the successful execution of business transactions. The Systems Administrator is also responsible for managing and supervising the Firm's Network Technician with their job duties. 2+ years of supervisory experience is necessary. Two-year college level course work and 4+ years of experience managing a LAN/WAN network operations (voice and data) in a law firm environment is preferred.
